Alumnus Creates a Legacy of Scholarship Support for Future Bryant Students
Creating an endowed scholarship fund is one of the most meaningful ways to benefit current Bryant students while creating a lasting legacy. Through the thoughtful planning and generosity of Nicholas A. DeRienzo '59, Bryant University recently received a gift of $230,335 from his estate.
Nicholas directed that these funds be used to establish an endowed scholarship in his name that will benefit Bryant students enrolled in the college of business with financial need.
The 1863 Society, named to recognize the year of Bryant's founding, honors those individuals who, like Nicholas, have provided for Bryant through a bequest or life income plan.
Members of the 1863 Society are testimony to Bryant's rich history and 150 years of distinction. With more than $5 million in future commitments, the gifts of 1863 Society members help Bryant ensure that its legacy is secure and growing. Their generosity enables Bryant to deliver an exceptional education for success in an age of unlimited global opportunity.
